I've played the points and miles game for over 20 years now. It has allowed me to earn and spend over a million points per year for the last 7 years. Its been over 10 years since anyone in my family of four has had to pay for a ticket! I see credit card rewards as good financial stewardship. If the banks are willing to give these rewards, we should take advantage of it. Whether that helps us have a bit more cash, visit our aging parents, or even bank miles to use in the event of an emergency, there is tremendous wisdom involved. Of course vacationing is nice too.
